Introduction
October 2007 - CIPD Exhibition hailed a tree-mendous success for mhl support

The UK’s fastest-growing provider of outsourced Employment Law and Health & Safety corporate support   planted quite an impression on the HR industry with its presence at the CIPD annual exhibition last week.

Newcastle-under-Lyme based mhl support, part of the Bibbyline Group, took a stand at the exhibition to advise visitors and delegates of their extensive services; and awarded each visitor to the stand with a tree sapling to symbolise growth, while offsetting the carbon footprint of each person who had travelled to Harrogate.

Sales Director Laurence Begley was delighted with the impact that mhl support made at the exhibition, held at the town’s International Centre. He said: “The venue was enormous and all of the big hitters in the HR industry were there.

“We were thrilled with the amount of interest generated by our products, but I think our tree saplings were a massive draw. People were stopping one another to find out where they were from.

“The idea was actually that of Jason Saunt, mhl’s Graphic Designer. We wanted to give something to the visitors that would stand apart from the usual, and in light of the burden of sustainability, we thought something environmentally sound should make the right statement; which it did.

“We have generated a lot of leads from our presence at Harrogate and have rightfully enhanced our reputation. We see this as being the first of many prestigious events at which we will be looking to showcase our proactive and bespoke solutions the feedback on our exhibition stand was extremely positive, with several competitors coming to admire it. We will definitely have a presence at the exhibition next year,” he added.

“Our team is currently working hard to contact every interested party to set up meetings and explain which of our three tailored products will best suit their needs.

“We have a host of successful case studies and new clients and our record speaks for itself, so I look forward to welcoming a number of new clients to the mhl support fold,” said Mr Begley.

Jason Saunt said: “It is the norm to give away little reminders at this kind of event, but we are confident that people will make the effort to plant and sustain the saplings. The saplings symbolise growth, and that by using our services, either as a stand-alone product or as an assistance for an existing HR department, companies can grow strong and successful.

“We also felt it was an appropriate way to counteract the carbon footprint of everyone travelling to Harrogate for the event. The response was fantastic and it has thrown the gauntlet down to devise an even better way of making our name stay at the forefront of the field next year.”
