Sir Digby Jones, outgoing director general of the CBI, today (31st July) unveiled new state-of-the-art headquarters of mhl support, the premier provider of proactive health and safety support in the UK. Their new home in Newcastle-under-Lyme and recent accolade of being voted 27th fastest growing company in the UK by the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 signifies how the company has grown in less than six years, and for the first time brings all head office staff together under one roof. Sir Digby became a non-executive director of mhl, in 2004. His desire to work with a vibrant, professional company that had potential to grow and develop offering a vital service to clients - was something that was immediately apparent with mhl.
Sir Digby said: "It's extremely exciting to be involved with mhl. They are a highly innovative company and without doubt provide exceptional added value to their customers - when companies outsource to mhl they are buying into business excellence. Their phenomenal growth is testament to the talented team, their vision and ultimately to the unrivalled service they provide." Bernard Hampson, chairman of mhl said: "Today is a significant milestone in the history of mhl because our new ultra-modern offices will allow us to continue to provide a superior service to our customers, as will the launch of OPTIMUM+. Our growth and innovation place us way ahead of the competition and with Sir Digby's continued support we look forward to an exciting future." Sir Digby said: "mhl is a company passionate about its people as the results show. Investing in its team and providing quality training for life is key to the success of the business and will help them achieve their ambition to grow. I am exceptionally proud to be involved and associated with mhl and I look forward to being part of their continued growth and success." He continued: "The opening of the new offices today has allowed mhl to bring together all head office staff under one roof, and as I walk around today I can see the enthusiasm and vibrancy of the team. An office move can transform a business and mhl are clearly already benefiting as the change in the working environment ensures that mhl's quality people can continue to deliver client excellence. As well as the official opening of mhl's new head office, the company will also this week launch their new product OPTIMUM+. OPTIMUM+ is a web-based health and safety and employment law system that provides cost effective means for companies to keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and in particular allowing smaller businesses to remain compliant in these two important areas with the ever increasing burden of red tape. This system will be the first of its kind in the UK that supports the client with online advice and assistance, consultant on site visit all underpinned with access to a 24 hour, 7 days a week telephone support service, delivering guaranteed best advice and will see mhl leading the way for innovation in the industry.
