Statutory Dispute Resolution Regulations Review

The Dispute Resolution Regulations are to be reviewed, two years after their introduction.

The regulations were expected to reduce the number of tribunals, but 115,000 claims were lodged against employers in 2005-06, an increase of 33% on the previous year.

The DTI are working closely with the Better Regulation Executive to consider alternative options, and we can expect a consultation exercise in the near future.
