Employment Law Newsletter - August 2006

Welcome to the Autumn Edition of the Employment Law Newsletter.

In this issue we examine one of the most important pieces of legislation to come into effect since the Sex Discrimination Act in 1975.  The Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006 will come into force on the 1st October 2006 and impact on such diverse areas as recruitment, training, promotion, pay, benefits and retirement. We also look at forthcoming maternity and paternity changes under the Work and Families Bill, update you on the latest changes to the NMW rates; report on the new Welfare Reform Bill, and also highlight a couple of recent court judgements
