mhl's MD Nick McKay, was invited to join Sir Richard Branson and the Chancellor Gordon Brown at Sir Richard's home in Oxfordshire' earlier this month'

Nick said... "It was a fabulous afternoon and evening. It was quite unique to meet not only the most successful Entrepreneur of all time but also one of the most successful Chancellors of all time..." "Irrespective of political persuasion, Gordon has achieved what few Chancellors have ever achieved, which is macro economic stability - low inflation, coupled with low unemployment as well as low interest rates and a strong stable currency. Gordon made it abundantly clear how grateful he was to high growth highly profitable companies such as mhl. Without the job creation as well as the tax revenues mhl and other successful companies create, Gordon could not have attained and maintained his own targets for the economy".

"It was wonderful to set aside the time to ask some searching questions of both Sir Richard and the Chancellor and gain a deeper understanding of Sir Richard's business model and branding. He took the olde sleepy traditional industries of the Airlines, Railways etc., and completely changed the face of them. Product and service support are clearly everything to Richard. He felt (and still feels) that too many suppliers have been providing poor value for money poor services within certain sectors for far too long.. It was heartening to hear the similarities of approach that Sir Richard adopted and those that we have adopted here at mhl.
